Couple Compass is owned and operated by Itsha Dickson, a sole proprietor based in Connecticut, USA, trading as "Couple Compass" ("we," "us"). Itsha Dickson is the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us any time at couplecompass.app@gmail.com.

• Account: email address (and Google profile basics if you sign in with Google).
• Profile: the names, favorite activities, foods, love languages, and anniversary you choose to enter.
• Activity: saved dates, date history, ratings, and the answers you give in the planning wizard and Match Our Mood.
• Device: basic technical data (browser type, timestamps) as needed to run the service securely.

We use your data to generate personalized date itineraries, remember your saved dates and history across devices, and keep your account secure. We do not sell your data and we do not run advertising.

Data is stored on our managed backend (Lovable Cloud, powered by Supabase). Some preferences are cached locally in your browser's storage so the app loads quickly and works offline.

• Lovable Cloud / Supabase — hosts your account, database, and authentication.
• Google — Google Maps Platform provides the venue, place, and travel-time data behind your itineraries, and Google sign-in only if you choose "Continue with Google".
• Paddle — our reseller and Merchant of Record for Couple Compass Plus. Paddle handles checkout, subscription management, payments, tax compliance, invoicing, and refunds, and receives the billing details you enter at checkout. We never see or store your card details.
• PostHog — privacy-friendly product analytics and error monitoring, used to understand which features are used and to fix crashes.

We do not sell your data and we do not run advertising trackers.

We keep your account and profile data for as long as your account exists. Delete your account and we remove your profile, saved dates, history, and photos; anonymous aggregate usage counts may remain. Records Paddle must keep for tax and accounting purposes are retained by Paddle under its own policy.

You can request a copy of your data, correct it, or delete your account at any time by emailing couplecompass.app@gmail.com. We honor GDPR and CCPA requests regardless of where you live.

Couple Compass is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

We'll update this page when our practices change and revise the effective date above. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
